The winners in the 15 KEiBA categories – such as Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Employer of the Year and Business Commitment to the Community Award – will be revealed at a ceremony at the Kent Showground in Detling next month.

With over 250 entries, the judges of the awards, staged and produced by Kent County Council and KM Media Group, were once again faced with the challenge of whittling it down.

Cabinet Member for Economic Development at Kent County Council Mark Dance said:

“The standard of entries this year was – as ever – extraordinary and selecting these finalists was an extremely tough task.  Having gone through the entries, it is clear that we have a very high calibre of businesses in Kent.  I’d like to congratulate all of those that have made it this far and I look forward to meeting them all and recognising and promoting their successes and achievements at the finals.”

For eight years, KEiBA has showcased the strongest, most vibrant businesses and business people from across Kent.

As in previous years, the awards evening will benefit two local charities which this year are Ellenor, a charity that cares and supports families facing terminal illness in Kent and Bexley, and CXK which helps people progress into meaningful employment, education or training.

KM Media Group managing director Richard Elliot said:

“I would just like to thank all the fantastic businesses that have entered the KEIBA awards this year, the quality of the entries just seems to go from strength to strength.  I would also like to thank the sponsors for all the effort they have put into the judging process, their commitment is really appreciated and as result I am sure everyone will agree this year we have another extraordinary set of businesses from across the County chosen as KEIBA finalists. Good luck to everyone for the 23rd June.”

The awards ceremony will be held at The Kent Event Centre, Kent County Showground, Detling on June 23.
